Estúdio Bloco A is a creative studio focused on furniture design founded by brothers Ney and Igor Almeida. Today, based between Paris and Teresina, Estúdio Bloco A represents to them a space for work and the sharing of their imagination.
Ney Almeida was born in Piauí, a state located in the northeast region of Brazil. He pursued his education in Interior Design in his hometown, Teresina, before moving to Rio de Janeiro to study Furniture Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design. Subsequently, Ney joined the Master's program in Product Design at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy, refining his skills in the field.
Igor Almeida embarked on his academic journey in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Piauí, later earning a degree in Performing Arts from Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras in Rio de Janeiro. He has recently completed a Master’s degree in Dance at Université Paris VIII in France. Igor possesses an insatiable curiosity for art, architecture, and design.
The Brazilian duo seek to blend their artistic and cultural references into their design pieces.
